Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - 6 miles to Sugarhouse and back. 8:15 pace.

Probably doing a longer run early tomorrow morning in SLC area - 15 miles total, 12 around 7:15 pace and 3 at 6:20 and below. Let me know if you want to join!

Also, my parents are still in town this weekend. I think they are a little burnt out on hiking from doing it the last 6 days, so I'm trying to think of other fun activities. Any ideas?

Here are a few ideas for your parents:

Oktoberfest is going on right now at Snowbird. Noon-6:00.

They could drive the Alpine Loop. While not prime season, it is still incredible and I noticed this morning that the fall colors are coming out.

Take them tp see the open pit at the kennecott copper mine.

Timpanogos Cave is really cool, but they would have to do another small hike :)

Have you taken them to PC yet to see the Olympic Village. Oh and of course the outlet shops. :)

Park city! :)

Scott - have you been to the cave before? Would you say that it is worth it? I have thought about that for an option. I'll see if they have any interest in the mine too. I personally hate driving, so I'm not evern going to suggest the Alpine Loop drive :)

Rachelle and Lily - my parents vacationed in Park City last March and LOVED it. I wish I could live there (except that it's really cold in the winter)!

Have you ever been to Promontory summit where the transcontinental railroad met? They have the two engines representing the railroad companies who joined tracks and made history. In addition there is a small museum and store.

Another suggestion might be going out west of Delta digging for trilobites. There is a place set up by the BLM for the public to do this. I really enjoyed doing that one.. Both involve some driving but I think it was worth it:)

I have been to the cave before and it is definitely worth it. I love driving and the Alpine Loop is one of my favs. :)

There is a group of us meeting at the Capital (rear parking lot) at 6 AM then running to the mouth of Emigration. Should be about 13 miles; however, almost the entire group is getting ready for St. George next week so the pace may be a little slow for you.

One of the most amazing things in the area is the Salt Flats. Its a long drive out toward Wendover, but you won't anything else like it in the US!

I can give them a whole list now and they can decide which one they want to do :)

MarkP - I'll ask ebates and see what she thinks! Thanks for the offer.
