Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - JAJA run. Foggy and spooky!

PM - 30 minutes of Step class, 10 min abs, 25 pushups, myrtl, a few weights, etc.

We're going to continue with the Saturday morning run at 8am, meet at Jordan River Parkway 3300S. 15 miles, but I think a couple are only going 8-10 so we'll do an out-and-back for that distance. Pace around 7:15-7:45. Breakfast was fun last time; we'll do it again if people are interested.

Wish I could even think about doing a long run at that pace. Maybe I'll have to join you guys and start the 'sag wagon' group behind y'all! :)

I ran up in the foothills behind my home today (SW corner of the valley) and I could see the thick blanket of fog/smog in the valley - you couldn't even see the houses at daybreak just 5 miles away. It was crazy! I was certainly thankful for my home and 'hood 'above it all' today!! :)

So wish I could keep up :/ maybe in a year.

I can only dream of keeping up that pace for a LR. I'll come along with RAD on the sagging wagon. :D

Andrea-- I work this Saturday but count me in on Christmas Eve if you all are still in town...Let me know. Rachelle, if you can come that would be great then I wouldn't have to try and keep up. I am on easy pace mode. I ran all those paces during the summer and need a break. Probably end up with 7:40 to 7:45 AP.

if enough people come, multiple groups will form for different paces. i think all of you ^ should come. it's lots of fun, and it's so much easier to go that kind of distance in the cold when there are a bunch of other people to do it with.

we usually float down the river for the second half of the run anyway. the mileage still counts.

I'm with Allie. Honestly, I think everyone is in easy base period right now and pace doesn't really matter.

I know that Emily Bates is coming and she just ran a marathon a couple weeks ago, Kassi Harmon is 20 weeks pregnant, and Allie floats really slow down the river! So it would probably be best running slower for all of us.

right now I'm just daydreaming about a relaxing wintertime float down the Jordan River

I so want to run with you guys! But, I have a choir rehearsal at 9. Since I am the director, I guess that means I need to go. Please say that you will be running next Saturday, even though it is Christmas Eve. I will definitely be there.
