Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

ugghh, sounds like what I've been fighting all week. Take care and limit the miles and you should be able to come out okay! Dumb winter :(

Dang sore throats and colds! Try a coldbuster from Jamba juice, I don't know if they help tons but they taste great.

Emergen C. Start taking it ASAP. I know allie is a fan.

Now I have that song by Winger in my head. Emergen C! First time love's got a hold on me...

Thanks Scott.

Coldbuster huh? I might have to give it a try...back home in TN I had perfected the cold-prevention with Panera Bread and Smoothie King. Pretty sure it was just a total mental game b/c those are my two favorites, but it worked wonders. Why are neither of these in SLC?!

From allie on Fri, Dec 02, 2011 at 17:16:37 from 24.10.191.18

the closest smoothie king is in lehi. james and i always go out of our way to get a smoothie there any time we make a trip to utah valley. as for panera bread -- yes! we need one in SLC!

From Jake K on Fri, Dec 02, 2011 at 17:17:41 from 155.100.226.53

remember when I looked up the closest Panera for you, and it was in Boulder?!!

More reason to run Bolder Boulder next year!

I second the motion for a Panera Bread Co. Keep pounding that Vitamin C/EmergenC/AirBorne. I swear the stuff works - at least it did for me a couple weeks ago.

I won't be able to make it to the run tomorrow :( Have fun!
